Singing and playing the blues

Laurent combined music with teaching until recently when he closed his maths books for good and headed for the recording studio in Angers, France, with good friend and legendary French music producer Laurent Thibault. The result is a stunning collection of 11 tracks featuring eight originals and three Peter Green and Joe Tex covers. Laurent’s ‘little monsters’. Some songs he wrote many, many years ago and some he wrote quite recently. What do they have in common? He’s not quite sure, apart from the blues!

  • The opening track, The Teacher, is as blues as you could get. The vocals are full of passion and feeling which is exactly what you want to hear on any blues album.

  • An excellent Loire Valley blues / rock album

    Alex La Pointe

  • Every track is good, but this seems to raise itself ever so slightly above the parapet. An absolute gem of a track, among a plethora of diamonds.

  • Excellent album, Lolo!
