Showdown showtime in the shadowlands

Cain Bell successfully proposes to April Sands at their Manchester restaurant his joy is short-lived. Mugged after claiming Ted Blake wasn’t the hit and run driver who killed Cain’s daughter two decades ago, April is in a coma. Doctors have to wait until the sedation drugs wear off to ascertain if she is dead or alive. Cain now knows he was fed lies then and is being duped again.   But he is being encouraged to look the other way. If April lives, her ex-husband, Bob Ord, has booked her into a California clinic to recover. Bob has also lined up him a top Hollywood PR job. Cain can start a fresh new life in the USA — or stay and Manchester and find out who was involved with both the death of his daughter and April’s attack, whatever the personal cost.
